During over thirty years of working with ECR we have always received a

Madhouse the well-established jeans, sportswear and men's wear retailer, were one of ECR’s first customers back in the 1970’s. Having recently been through a management buy-out, the company, who have over forty stores throughout the UK, continue to go from strength to strength.
At the start of the relationship with ECR Madhouse traded with a PoS system comprising of Omron eprom based tills linked to a UNIX head office system installed at their warehouse and administration centre based at Wembley. Even after the the demise of Omron in 1998 ECR
continued to support the system which was simple to use, functional end very robust. However the lack of spare parts became increasingly desperate and so Madhouse started to upgrade the system to PC based tills with keyboard and mouse. This suited both the budget and the operating style of Madhouse and it enabled the company to control the estate which had grown to over fifty stores by 2002. As each redundant Omron site failed they were upgraded to ECR modular tills.
